| The ediba® team will customize programs to meet each hospital’s specific needs; from a “Do It Yourself” approach, to a turn-key full program implementation.
“Implementing the Seven Step Program” Workshop - This two-day program at the ediba® Corporate Office gives you the tools you need to begin implementing this program at your facility. It is designed for diabetes educators, administrators, nurses, financial officers... anyone who wants to have a positive impact on patient care and the hospital’s bottom line.
Consultation - Representatives of the ediba team (CEO, Medical Director, Senior Nurse) can come to your facility for a preliminary consultation. This involves a one-hour overview of the program elements and structure of the program, meetings with key hospital personnel, and a general survey of existing services. The group will then prepare a brief summary of recommended services based on specific needs.
Assessment - This comprehensive assessment is used to establish a baseline and determine your potential Return on Investment. The assessment includes two to three days of on-site meetings with key physicians and department leaders, a confidential summary of admissions / financial data prepared by an independent healthcare accounting consultant, a review of existing services, and the development of a proposal and pro forma customized to your hospital’s needs.
Inpatient Management Program - The ediba® team can also assist in changing the culture of diabetes care throughout the hospital. All clinical staff go through an eight-hour diabetes training program that is proven effective in teaching professionals to more effectively manage the care of patients with diabetes. Medical staff members are involved in the review and training of evidence-based inpatient protocols. The program is customized to specific hospital needs identified in the assessment, and results are closely monitored and shared at regular intervals.
Inpatient and Outpatient Management Program - This option includes all of the components above, while incorporating ediba’s proven expertise in developing an outpatient education program that is ADA-recognized for Medicare and insurance reimbursement. This includes multiple course objectives and materials, educator training, and assistance with the ADA Recognition process.
